Glow CloudKit Get the kit

Pricing & licensing

Unlimited users, one flat price. And we never count who uses it.

Most SharePoint web-part suites charge per active user, which means their code has to track every person who opens a web part and report it back to meter the bill. Glow Cloud Kit is licensed to your tenant instead: one price, everyone included, and nothing phoning home about your people.

The metered model

Per active user

You pay for each unique person who opens a web part, usually in a rolling 30-day window. To bill that way, the product has to report every user who loads a part back to the vendor, so it can count them. Your bill moves with usage, and there is normally a maximum user cap.

How Glow Cloud Kit works

Per tenant, flat

One subscription licenses your whole tenant. Everyone is included, from ten users to ten thousand, for the same price. The licence check sends only your tenant ID and billing email. No one is counted, and nothing tracks who opens what.

Per-user metering is a legitimate model, and for some vendors it makes sense. We chose the opposite, on purpose, for the two reasons below: a bill you can predict, and a licence that never has to watch your users.

Side by side

Per user vs per tenant.

What you pay for

Per user: Each unique user who opens a web part in a rolling window

Us: Your tenant. One subscription, everyone included.

Price as you grow

Per user: Changes every month with the active-user count

Us: Fixed. Budget it once and forget it.

User ceiling

Per user: Commonly capped at a maximum number of users

Us: Unlimited users, same price

What the vendor must track

Per user: Every user who loads a web part, to meter the licence

Us: Nothing. The check is tenant-level.

What leaves your tenant

Per user: Per-user usage telemetry

Us: Tenant ID and billing email, for the licence check only

In a security or DPIA review

Per user: Your people become data subjects in a vendor's analytics

Us: Nothing to assess beyond the licence data

Where it runs

Per user: Client-side, but phones home to count usage

Us: Client-side, in your own tenant

The "per-active-user model" column describes how metered licensing works in general, not any one vendor's product.

The cost shape

Flat stays flat. Per user climbs.

The Complete Kit is a flat £99/month, whatever your headcount. A per-user suite grows with every seat. The bars below are illustrative, at a typical ~£2/user/month, to show the shape.

Why we built it this way

A licence should not have to watch your people.

To bill per active user, a product must record who loads each web part and send it to the vendor. We did not want that data plane, so we did not build one. The licence is a short-lived, signed token bound to your tenant: activate once and every app licenses itself. Nothing counts your users, and nothing about their behaviour leaves your tenant.

Predictable

One number, fixed for the year. No true-ups, no surprise months when usage spikes.

Private by design

No per-user telemetry. Your people never become rows in a vendor's analytics to make the pricing work.

Review-ready

Nothing to assess in a DPIA beyond a tenant ID and a billing email. See the security page.

One price. Every web part. Every user.

The Complete Kit is £99/month for the whole tenant, with a 14-day free trial (a card is required to start). Single web parts are £29/month. No per-seat maths, no user tracking.
