Glow Cloud Kit documentation
Glow Cloud Kit is a suite of six premium web parts for SharePoint Online that fix what the platform can't do natively - custom site headers, full theming, a modern staff directory, a multi-source calendar, a social feed and weather with world clocks. Everything runs client-side in your own tenant, with minimal Microsoft Graph permissions.
The apps
- Header - design and apply a branded site header (logo, colours, fonts, navigation, backgrounds) that renders site-wide. Header guide →
- Theme - design, preview and apply complete SharePoint themes and site branding from one panel. Theme guide →
- Directory - a people directory with live contact cards, presence, celebrations and self-service profiles. Directory guide →
- Agenda - overlay SharePoint lists, Exchange, Microsoft 365 groups and iCal feeds in one colour-coded view. Agenda guide →
- Social - your organisation's own published posts surfaced on the intranet, read-only. YouTube, Bluesky, Mastodon and RSS connect instantly; Facebook and Instagram are coming soon, once our Meta app review completes. Social →
- WorldKit - live weather and world clocks in two web parts (Weather and Time & Date), for one location or a board of offices. WorldKit →
- Org Chart - an interactive, pan-zoom org chart from Microsoft 365 and a SharePoint overrides list, with matrix reporting, dotted lines and vacant positions. Org Chart guide →
- Showcase - a responsive image and video gallery with seven layouts and an accessible lightbox, from manual items or a document library. Showcase guide →
- Section - full-bleed design bands with shape dividers, gradients, images and a legibility scrim to separate the sections of a page. Section guide →
- Prism - any SharePoint list as a beautiful table, cards or tiles, read-only, without touching the source list. Prism guide →
- Cheers - an employee recognition wall with badges, photos, likes and comments, plus birthdays and anniversaries surfaced automatically. Cheers guide →
- Pulse - two web parts: a one-question Quick Poll and a full pulse survey, both answered on the page with a designed results dashboard. Pulse guide →
How it works, end to end
- Subscribe - start a monthly or annual plan (14-day free trial) from the pricing page.
- Activate - sign in to the customer portal with the same Microsoft work account you purchased with. This binds your tenant to the subscription. See Licensing & activation.
- Install - download each app's
.sppkgfrom the portal and upload it to your tenant App Catalog. See the Install guide. - Use - add the web part to a page (or, for Header, it applies site-wide automatically). Each app validates your subscription on load.
There are no licence keys to copy or install. Once your tenant is activated in the portal, every app licenses itself automatically when it loads.
Requirements
- SharePoint Online (Microsoft 365). On-premises SharePoint is not supported.
- A SharePoint / Microsoft 365 administrator to upload to the App Catalog and approve any Graph permissions.
- For Directory and Agenda only: admin consent to a small set of Microsoft Graph scopes (listed in each app's guide).
