WorldKit

WorldKit is one install with two web parts: Glow Cloud Forecast (weather-first) and Glow Cloud Time and Date (clock-first). Each can show time, weather or both, for one location or a board of offices, with six card designs and a live-sky background.

Permissions

No Microsoft Graph permissions and no admin consent. Local time comes from the browser; weather is a public request to Open-Meteo.

Set up

1. Install the package (see the Install guide). No Graph scopes to approve.
2. Edit a page → add Glow Cloud Forecast or Glow Cloud Time and Date (both appear in the web-part picker).
3. In the property pane, search for and add each location.

Locations

Search any city, town or country; the correct local time and current weather resolve for each. Lock a corporate set, or leave it open so viewers curate their own board (remembered per device). Group by country and sort by local time.

Title banner

The board's own heading is styled from the Header group in the property pane, next to the title text and the optional logo, so a wall of offices reads as part of your intranet rather than a default SharePoint title. Existing web parts are unchanged: the settings apply only once you pick a style. Fields appear as they become relevant, so you only ever see the ones your chosen style uses.

• Title banner style - solid colour, soft tint, gradient fade, two colours, no fill (ghost), underline, accent bar, overline label or background image.
• Banner shape - rounded or square, offered for the styles that draw a banner (the underline, overline and no-fill looks have nothing to round).
• Banner colour - any colour you like, or clear it to follow the site theme. The two-colour style adds a second colour for the gradient.
• Banner background image - pick an image from the site; a readability overlay keeps the title clear over it.
• Overline text - the small label shown above the title in the overline style.
• Title text colour - automatic by default, with the contrast computed against the real banner colour to WCAG ratios so a brand colour stays legible. On the gradient, image, no-fill and underline styles the title sits over something that cannot be measured reliably, so you can set light or dark yourself.

Display options

• Card design - Classic, Split, Hero, Minimal, Panel or a live Analog clock.
• Columns - Auto (fills the section) or a fixed 1 to 6.
• Density - comfortable, compact or dense.
• Style - elevated, flat or glass cards, a custom accent, corner radius and a live-sky background.
• Units - Celsius or Fahrenheit, 12 or 24-hour.

Weather data

Weather and geocoding come from Open-Meteo, with no API key needed by default (non-commercial use). For commercial use, add your own Open-Meteo commercial API key in the property pane. The data is licensed CC BY 4.0, so a small Open-Meteo credit is shown wherever weather appears.
