FAQ Builder
FAQ Builder is a modern accordion and FAQ web part you build and edit directly on the page. Add questions, format the answers inline and reorder them by hand, with no SharePoint lists to wire up and no code. It stores its content in the web part itself and runs client-side as the signed-in user.
Permissions
No Microsoft Graph permissions are needed to build and show a FAQ. Only the optional audience targeting uses a single read-only scope, GroupMember.Read.All, which your admin approves once. If it is not granted, targeting fails open and every question shows.
Set up
- Install the package (see the Install guide).
- Edit a page → add the FAQ Builder web part.
- Add your questions and format each answer inline on the page.
- Optional: approve GroupMember.Read.All if you want per-question audience targeting.
Answers
Answers are rich text with headings, links, lists and images, formatted inline where they sit. What you see while editing is exactly what visitors get.
Layout options
- Layout - accordion (collapsing) or classic FAQ (open), with an optional search box.
- Order - drag questions into the order you want.
- Audience - target individual questions to Microsoft 365 or security groups.
- Header - give the part a title and badge it with your logo.
- Theme - inherits your site theme, light and dark.
Content lives in the web part and nothing leaves your tenant; only optional audience targeting reads group membership, read-only.
