Glow Cloud Kit · Showcase
A modern, responsive image gallery with seven layouts and an accessible lightbox, from manual items or a document library. The polished replacement for the native gallery and ShortPoint sliders.
Starts with a Microsoft 365 sign-in, which activates your licence. Card required; cancel within 14 days and you're not charged.
Layouts
Responsive column counts for desktop, tablet and mobile, set per layout in the property pane.
Two ways to fill it
Author by hand
Add items in the panel: image, caption, alt text, link and audience. Upload straight to Site Assets or paste a URL.
Bind to a library
Pick a site, library, folder and file-type filter with order-by, top N and a caption column, read as the signed-in user.
Every detail considered
Grid, masonry, justified rows, Collage, Mosaic (bento), carousel and filmstrip, each with responsive column counts for desktop, tablet and mobile. Pick the shape that suits the section.
Previous and next, arrow keys and Escape, touch swipe, caption and counter, focus trap and a labelled dialog. Click the backdrop to close; video plays inline.
mp4, SharePoint Stream, YouTube and Vimeo tiles get a play overlay and play inline in the lightbox, mixed freely with images. Every video tile gets a real thumbnail, captured from the video itself when SharePoint has not generated a preview yet, and large uploads show progress.
Add items by hand and upload images to Site Assets, or bind to a document library with site, folder, file-type filter, order-by, top N and a caption column.
Give any item a link and switch the gallery from lightbox to navigation, so tiles become a visual set of shortcuts to pages, documents or anywhere else - optionally opening in a new tab. Links also show inside the lightbox when you keep that behaviour. Library-bound galleries can carry them too: name a link column and each tile clicks through to its own destination, the same as manual items.
The gallery's title banner is styleable, so the part reads as your brand rather than the SharePoint default: choose a shape and a fill (solid colour, a soft tint, a gradient fade or two colours), a minimal look such as an accent bar, an underline or an overline label, a colour of your own, or a background image with a readability overlay. Handy above a wall of photography, where a full-width block of colour competes with the images. Title contrast is computed against the real colour to WCAG ratios, so a banner in a brand colour stays legible, and the title ink can be set by hand. Existing galleries are unchanged; the new settings only apply when an author chooses one.
Target a single tile or the whole gallery to Microsoft 365 or security groups. It fails open, so if membership cannot be read, everything simply shows.
Tiles lazy-load their image only when scrolled into view, and a polished default grid ships out of the box, so it looks right the moment you add it.
Least privilege, and it fails open
Showcase runs client-side as the signed-in user. The gallery and the document-library read need no Microsoft Graph permission at all. Only optional audience targeting uses a single read-only scope, GroupMember.Read.All, that an admin approves once; if it is not granted, targeting fails open and everything shows.
